AM kids! Lab: Professional Learning

Join becky martin, ma, ccc-slp, ryt, rcyt, speech language pathologist for a 2 hour lab to learn skills, tools, and practices to utilize with children of all ages.

You will learn:

  • How the brain develops and practice to use at each stage
  • Strategies to get kids out of flight, fight and/or freeze
  • Tools for self regulation and self awareness 
  • Practices for stress management
  • Physical postures to activate the brain for learning, body awareness and improved motor coordination
  • How these practices support social emotional intelligence

you will leave with:

  • A better understanding of HOW and WHY these practices work
  • Ways to implement these practices into a daily routine for ultimate results
  • Practical tools to use tomorrow

This lab is for: Teachers, therapists, social workers, parents, nannies, or anyone interested in learning about the AM kids! yoga techniques.

Drop & Go Girl Power PJ Party

Join AM kids! in celebrating Girl Power with a PJ Party.

We will cultivate a kind heart, fierce mind, brave spirit, and a strong practice. 

During this AMazing 2 hour party we will practice yoga, play games, and even make lavender eye pillows. 

Wear your favorite pajamas or yoga pants.

Ages 8 - 13 years

AM kids! Classes


Ages 2 1/2-5 years (Must be able to be separate from parent/adult.)

Through the AM kids! practice your yogi will learn:

· Self regulation skills

· Body awareness and motor coordination

· Listening and attention skills

· Social-emotional skills

Super Yogis will grow their SUPER powers using the basic postures of the AM sequence, Super Power breathing techniques, and sharpen their super senses using stories, games, partner poses, and arts + crafts.






Ages 4-10 years 

This fun and energetic class will improve:

· Strength, flexibility, and coordination.

· Attention

· Self regulation

· Relaxation, stress management

· Sense of community and belonging

Classes empower young yogis, build community, teach respect for self and others, as well as foster an awareness of the body and mind.  Classes incorporate the AM sequence, with breakdowns of more challenging poses, partner and group poses, yoga games, and mindfulness activities.  



Ages 8-13 years

Through the practices of AM Yoga we will AMPower Girls to:

· Love themselves for who they are.

· Lift each other up.

· Understand the importance of checking in with themselves daily - just like brushing their teeth.

· Be an important part of the community

· Live confidently

During this 4 week program we'll practice the AM Yoga sequence, learn how to use breath and meditation as tools, and have a ton of FUN along the way.  Girls will engage in activities that foster self confidence, healthy self image, and learn tools to manage stress and emotions.  We'll focus on supporting one another, using positive mind talk, and showing kindness towards ourselves and others, and being strong inside and out.  Empowered girls empower girls.
