We're here to support you.

Here are some of the questions we hear the most often.

I’ve never practiced yoga, can I still come?

Yes, all of our classes are great for all levels. Just show up! If you feel like you need a place to start check out our Foundations Classes. They are a great way to introduce you to the AM Yoga way.

What is vinyasa yoga?

Vinyasa is a style of yoga.  It is breath and movement. Flow.  At AM Yoga you will learn how to link your breath with movement intelligently.  Vinyasa helps to create body awareness as well as calm a busy mind.

What do I wear?

For asana classes wear comfortable clothing that you can move and sweat easily in.  For meditation classes wear anything! Meditation requires sitting so as long as you can do that you’ll be good to go. Yes, that means you can even wear your work attire for a quick refresh. We do have 3 changing rooms but no showers.

What do I bring?

Asana classes: mat, towel, and water.

Meditation classes: whatever you need to be comfortable to sit

Blocks and straps available for use.  Mats, towels, and meditation cushions are available for rent.

how old to attend classes?

Our classes are for ages 16+.  If the student is under 18, a legal parent or guardian must come into the studio on or before their first class to fill out paperwork.

How often should I practice?

We practice both asana and meditation daily.  How often for you is your decision.

Not hot, not cold?

Warm yoga.  From our experience we have learned that it is best to allow the body to warm up from your practice not from an external source.   We teach you how to use your breath and body to warm you from the inside out, not the opposite.

Our meditation studio is kept at a comfortable temperature.
